The Back-to-School Starter Pack That Actually Works, Darling

Listen, darling, back-to-school shopping can be absolutely maddening. You're supposed to acquire seventeen different things from seven different shops, and somehow your child ends up with either too much of the wrong supplies or mysteriously nothing at all. Enter this BIC Kit Les Essentiels: it's the stationery equivalent of showing up to brunch with your outfit already decided. Fourteen classic BIC Cristal ballpoint pens (in black, blue, red, and green), five wildly vibrant highlighters, and three color-changing pens that eliminate the indignity of rummaging through a pencil case? That's not just practical, that's actually rather elegant in its simplicity.

What makes this kit particularly brilliant for the back-to-school season is that it covers every conceivable note-taking scenario without pretension. Whether your little one is highlighting textbook passages, scribbling math answers, or color-coding their subjects like the organized creatures we hope to raise them to be, this lot has them covered. The buyers seem to agree enthusiastically: thousands of verified purchases gushing about its completeness and value. At 15,23 euros with a 5% discount, you're not breaking the bank on school supplies, which means you can redirect those savings toward something actually fabulous, like their back-to-school wardrobe.

Let's break down the contents like we're inventorying a couture collection. You get fourteen BIC Cristal Original pens (that's eleven in black, one in blue, one in red, and one in green) plus three BIC 4 Couleurs Original pens that click through four colors without changing the entire pen. These are the real deal: the BIC Cristal is the best-selling pen in the entire world, darling, and it's been in the permanent collections at the MoMA and the Centre Pompidou in Paris. Not bad for something that costs pennies, yes? The highlighters come in five pop colors (yellow, orange, pink, green, and blue) with that clever biseautted tip that lets you highlight at 3.4mm width or write fine lines at 1.6mm. They're waterproof and can survive eight hours without their caps, which is rather impressive given how chaotic a school bag can become.

The specs confirm everything is exactly what you need: waterproof ink, fine-point tips suited for actual writing, ambidextrous design, and enough material to write approximately 3 kilometers of text per pen. The kit comes as a single package of 22 pieces total, though the product description lists it variously as 23 items (count the components yourself, darling; we're not mathematicians). Everything is designed for paper surfaces, which, last we checked, is what students write on.

Buy this immediately if you have school-age children, teenagers, or even if you're an adult who appreciates no-nonsense writing instruments. It's the perfect back-to-school solution for parents who want reliable quality without faffing about comparing seventeen different brands, and at this price point, it's practically criminal not to stock up. Students will appreciate having everything they need in one go, and teachers will silently applaud when every child arrives with actual functional pens instead of dried-out markers and pencil stubs. Skip it only if you're the type who insists on luxury fountain pens for homework or believes school supplies should make a fashion statement (in which case, darling, we need to have a different conversation about your priorities). For everyone else: this is sensible, complete, and honestly rather fabulous in its straightforward efficiency.
