With four dummies in one package, this is the ultimate choice for setting up defensive walls or lane obstacles. It is compact and super fast to deploy.
Serious skill development
The gold standard for adjustable height training that mimics a real defender. It is built to last and gives you the professional edge you need.
When you are out on the asphalt chasing that perfect jump shot, you need an opponent that does not talk back and does not need a Gatorade break. The GoSports XTRAMAN and PowerNet units are classic stand-up mannequins that keep things simple and effective. They are tall, they are red or black, and they stay exactly where you put them provided the wind is not throwing a temper tantrum.
On the other hand, the Hikeen set is clearly aimed at coaches who need to clutter the lane for driving drills. If you are trying to simulate a trap or a zone defense, buying one mannequin just will not cut it. Hikeen saves you the headache of buying four individual units by bundling them all into one portable, pop-up kit.
The real differentiator here is the SKLZ D-Man. It is not just a static obstacle; it is a professional-grade training tool that grows with your skill set. Being able to adjust the height from 5.5 to 6.5 feet is huge when you are trying to master shooting over a taller defender. It is the most robust option for a player who treats their driveway like a training facility.
If you are just starting out or keeping costs low, don't overthink it. The GoSports and PowerNet options will give you that defensive presence you crave without breaking the bank. Just make sure you use those ground stakes if you are playing in an open parking lot.
For the dedicated baller who wants to practice shooting over various heights, the SKLZ D-Man is the premium choice that earns its keep. It provides the most realistic defensive challenge of the bunch.
If you are a coach or just want to build a dense wall of defenders, grab the Hikeen 4-pack. It is the best way to get a full-court feel without needing a roster of real people.
